Cherokee Nation Announces Largest Language Initiative in Tribe's history

TAHLEQUAH, Okla.-Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. recently announced a $16 million investment in Cherokee language preservation-the largest language investment in the tribe's history.

Chief Hoskin announced the "Durbin Feeling Cherokee Language Preservation Act" during a celebration of Cherokee language speakers.
