TAHLEQUAH, Okla.—After Hurricane Helene devastated parts of the southeastern United States, the Cherokee Nation stepped in to support recovery efforts for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina. Cherokee Nation Emergency Management, along with students and staff from the Cherokee Nation Immersion School, traveled to the region to provide critical aid.
