A beautiful young Native American girl sat alone deep in prayer about a choice she would have to make that would affect the rest of her life. She was a good, quiet, gentle and loving girl who could make the university track if she wanted. Her boyfriend was a tall handsome sixteen-year-old boy. But she knew they had made a big mistake. A beautiful young Native American girl sat alone deep in prayer about a choice she would have to make that would affect the rest of her life. She was a slender fifteen-year-old with dark eyes like pools of soft love and long shining wavy dark hair glistening in the sunlight. She was a good, quiet, gentle and loving girl who could make the university track if she wanted to.

As she sat praying outside the worship center, she saw an eagle. The eagle was high in the sky, far from her but it came straight in her direction until it was directly overhead. It began to soar in a circle over her and then it went up into the clouds until it disappeared.

She had met a tall handsome sixteen-year-old boy. They made the mistake of making love way before the right time and in marriage. She loved Jesus and knew she had made a big mistake.

After about three months she discovered she was pregnant. Her friends took her to an abortion clinic but she refused to go in. If she had the child she could not go to college because she would have to take care of her baby.

Would the boy she loved still love her when he found out? Would he leave her? No matter what he wanted-whether to stay with her or for her not to have the baby, she knew she had to obey Creator and allow this baby to live.

She chose life, the life of her child, and endured rejection by friends, adults, and religious people. She had the child for Jesus and grew to love him. He was a handsome baby boy.

She finished high school and after a few years married the young man she loved. They became a family and now they have a boy and a girl. Her life was forever changed but Jesus turned it all around for good.

The years have passed and their boy is now a man who is graduating from university with a degree in computer technology and programming. He is kind and loving like his mother. He works for the college he is attending and is a great asset to the college.

Now this mother encourages other young women to choose life instead of abortion.
