Steve Silverheels, the son of Tonto (Jay Silverheels) of the Long Ranger admired his father for his success and achievement as the first Native American actor to make it on the big screen and TV. Jay was named Harold John Smith when he was born on the Six Nations First Nation near Brantford, Ontario.
