Cherokee/Seminole National Best Books Award-winning author K.B. Schaller has compiled an extensive collection of biographies of more than 100 Native American women who have accomplished much and thus changed the world by changing their world.

100+ Native American Women Who Changed the World is well-researched. As LaDonna Harris, Comanche, founder and president of Americans for Indian Opportunity says that this book is "...a comprehensive representation of our Indigenous mothers, sisters, daughters and friends."

I enjoyed reading this book because, as a Native woman, I learned about other Native women and the positive impact they made to change the world for good. Some of the women included are singer/musician and activist Buffy Sainte-Marie; author Louise Erdrich; Betty Mae Tiger Jumper, activist, journalist, and tribal leader as well as Tantoo Cardinal, actress and singer.

I could include many more women but you can read about them in this amazing book.

I agree with LaDonna Harris that this is a "well-researched and comprehensive representation..." of outstanding Aboriginal women.

Jane Fitzpatrick, bestselling author of Windcatcher: The Story of Sacajawea, writes in her endorsement that she is "... so grateful to K.B. Schaller, for drawing our attention to these important Native American heroines who have, in many cases, made the ultimate sacrifice. They have shown us through their contributions that their place in history is well deserved."
